But she doesn't remember the photo, and neither does her older sister. The late 1940s would fit if the photo had something to do with them. Otherwise, I'm clueless as to why my grandmother had the photo. Thanks for your help in figuring it out. I agree about the church - it does look like the front of the old Methodist church.Mona Robinson Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07942686174431804604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284597030233351185.post-83479577510528111802009-02-20T22:02:00.000-06:002009-02-20T22:02:00.000-06:00Mona, I would guess the time frame is 1940's or ea...Mona, I would guess the time frame is 1940's or early 50's. Today when I left the office I took a good look at the church, and I think it's most definitely the old Methodist church. In your photo you can see three of the four columns, and the doors and windows around the door are identical. Now if we can just figure out what the event was.Bob Frankshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044933010329922610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284597030233351185.post-7014082219204423602009-02-20T21:58:00.000-06:002009-02-20T21:58:00.000-06:00Thanks, Anonymous and Bob. My mother thought the photo might have been taken in front of the old science building at the old high school.Mona Robinson Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07942686174431804604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284597030233351185.post-62412307216365621322009-02-20T16:02:00.000-06:002009-02-20T16:02:00.000-06:00Mona, I am almost certain this is the old Methodis...Mona, I am almost certain this is the old Methodist church on Main Street in Fulton (present-day Catholic church). The porch is too high for the old grammar school and those are white columns in the background. I remember those evergreen shrubs on each side of the porch as well. I suspect it is a religious meeting of sorts, maybe a county-wide women's Christian group or a Methodist women's group (with them all dressed in white).Bob Frankshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044933010329922610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5284597030233351185.post-54319019807387857462009-02-20T10:15:00.000-06:002009-02-20T10:15:00.000-06:00I believe those are early 4-H uniforms.
