The "Old Fashioned Christmas Dinner - 1938 Fulton" brings back memories of the same dish with a different calling!: cream potatoes vs. mashed potatoes! Yes, both mother and the two grandmother's always served cream potatoes and "English" peas. This was made fancy in a small girls vision by placing the potatoes on a large platter and those peas were carefully placed around the mound of potatoes - it was pretty to look at before people began spooning and then those peas just rolled around on that platter! Ah, Christmas memories at a grandmother's house. bettye
