Happy Birthday!!

Betty Jean Pennington

Today is my mother's birthday so let's all wish her a happy one! Seems like we always have some sort of weather situation on her birthday, and this year is no different. One to two inches of snow is being predicted for our part of the world tonight and tomorrow. At least it is not ice!

Happy Birthday, Momma!

Happy Birthday, "Ma" Jean. Love the pinafore you are wearing. My mother liked that pattern! and made so many of my summer dresses from it - easy way to make a dress without sleeves to make "a little girl" look cool!

Hope you have many many more - and hey, if you get more snow, then you can have cake and snow cream! bettye in Ft. Worth

Thank you all very much for my "Happy Birthdays", Mona, that picture was made when I was seven years old.As you can tell I wasn't too happy. Those shoes were Jo Ann's hand me downs. She had a new pair and I did not want my picture made with the old ones. Momma polished the old ones up real well, but that didn't help my feelings.

I have just made me a big bowl of snow cream by the way. Enough of snow for that on my birthday. Wish I could share it with all of you

A note to Kirk. What a lovely tribute to your mother!, comparing her to the silver screens little sweetheart, charming Shirley Temple. Jean, you have to give your son an extra hug for his remarks. bettye
